Add copy for each step of the onboarding flow to help guide new members.

Write brief copy at all costs. Avoid adding heaviness to the flow and focus on maintaining the emotional intent of the design.

Onboarding copy can be tricky. It’s kind of accepted that nobody really wants to go through your flow, let alone read anything. So ultimately, the content needs to brief before anything.

Contrary to most brevity-focused content, I thought this flow really needed a bit of personality. If there’s a liveliness in what someone is reading, they won’t mind reading as much.

The design of onboarding emphasized customization and the feeling of adventure, so the copy needed to reflect that with phrases like “It’s time to discover new places”, “Hit the ground running”, “Go Explore”.
