Create randomized titles so users would feel more personally attached to the card.
Humans love hearing about themselves — R.I.P. to the BuzzFeed quiz era! So I wanted to write some words that could be generated into unique titles (one adjective + one noun) in order for people to feel entertained, maybe understood in some cases.
I carefully selected 50 adjectives and 50 nouns that would go along with the somewhat fantastical or whimsical energy of the onboarding. I was inspired by Dungeons & Dragons classes like Wizard or Rogue, it was important that none of these resembled job titles as to not take people out of the fantasy — so words like Producer or Manager were removed.
The other benefit of having something personalized is that the card feels more shareable without us needing to include a tacky call-to-action.
