Make a private alt Twitter account

When I joined Arc, we faced two conflicting community challenges. On one hand, we had a lot of enthusiastic users eager to engage with our platform, but on the other hand, we were still in beta and couldn't widely promote or give access to something that wasn't fully available yet. We explored various solutions, with creating a Discord or Slack community being the most common suggestion. However, as a small team, we were concerned that fostering open communication platforms could become unmanageable. Our brand at this point was polished and refined, and I felt that maintaining control over our community was crucial, especially when we couldn't invest substantial time in community management.

My solution was to pitch a secret Twitter account, a "Finsta" of sorts. We would only accept users we knew were already on the product, and we could share behind-the-scenes content without worrying about frustrating potential users who hadn't gained access yet. This approach garnered an extremely positive reception across the board. Existing users were thrilled with the sense of community and the privilege of receiving exclusive information. Moreover, news of this account sparked even greater eagerness among those seeking to join our product.
